Is it possible to use ClearCalm without a long range radio?

Yes. ClearCalm works independently of a long range radio as a voice amplifier, and short range team communication system (TeamCom).


What type of batteries does the ClearCalm system use?

ClearCalm uses standard AAA Alkaline batteries.


When I am using the hands free, TeamCom feature, is my message being transmitted over the radio?

Radio communications occur only when you push the PTT button located on the side of the Receiver.


Does ClearCalm eliminate SCBA breathing sounds?

Yes, ClearCalm makes use of advanced software to remove the breathing sounds from the voice transmission.


Is there a power button on the transmitter that I turn on every time I want to use the system?

There is no power button, the user simply has to dock the SCBA Regulator and begin breathing, and this will activate the transmitter.


How does ClearCalm work with existing communication protocol?

ClearCalm facilitates team communications and enhances long range communications. It provides additional flexibility within your organization’s existing communication protocol.


What approvals does your system have?

We are CSA / UL 913 Intrinsically safe: Class 1 Div 1 groups A, B, C, D, FCC part 15 & IC RSS 210.
